People in the Kenyan villages of Funzi and Bodo will know it's Christmas this year. But with rocketing food prices and reliance on food aid there will be little to mark the big day.

In Funzi where people have no electricity, no running water, and the risk of disease is high, 2012 may seem to have little to offer.

But things are changing. In just five years the Funzi and Bodo Trust has opened two medical clinics, built two schools, teaches children skills to help them get jobs and cares for the long term sick. And because the work is done by volunteers the money donated gets to where it's most needed.

Children like 8 year old Sharka who has terminal skin cancer can have a pain free life. Teenager Mwanakombo who has spent years in crumbling accommodation infested by bed bugs can go back to school and has accommodation free of pests.

Can you help them and others like them while bringing joy to your friends and loved ones?
